The Thermalright HR-05-SLI/IFX Chipset Cooler is a passive high performance cooler for motherboard north bridge chips. The HR-05-SLI/IFX uses a dual heat pipe design with a large aluminum heatsink to keep the north bridge chipset running cool. By default the HR-05-SLI/IFX is a passive cooler which means no noise. The HR-05-SLI/IFX version is more universal with the newer motherboards then the regular HR-05-SLI. However, for even better cooling performance we recommend attaching a cooling fan.

Features

  • North Bridget Chipset Cooler designed to fit SLI/Crossfire systems
  • Wild Fire design with increased surface area of dissipation from any 80mm fan (fan wire clips included)
  • New and improved method of retention mechanism for more sturdy and firm mount and with better motherboard compatibility.
  • Proprietary through holes on fins for efficient ventilation Soldered fins to copper base (nickel plated) to make effective contact
  • Light weight and easy installation
  • Dual heat pipes for more effective heat transfer
