The MCRES-MICRO Revision 2 shares all the good things that characterized the classic MCRES-Micro in size, quality, and provided accessories. The Revision 2 also includes additional enhancements and functionalities that have been requested by enthusiast users. The most noticeable change to the MCRES is the additional bottom port that was added. This port can be used for temp sensor, feed to second pump, drain, or a straight route to the pump below. The MCRES-Micro is a small form factor reservoir designed to operate quietly and reliably with high flow pumps such as Swiftech's MCP350 and MCP655 models (3/8" and 1/2" lines). The patent pending design features an angled baffle forcing the turbulent flow at the bottom of the reservoir. This allows it to function without air entrainment at low fluid levels and affords extended usage without refills of approximately 2 years.

Features

  • Comes stock with 1/2" & 3/8" Black Nylon Barb Fittings.
  • Most noticeable feature is an additional port at the bottom of the unit. This ports can be used as a drain, plug in a temp sensor, feed to a second pump, or an alternate outlet providing a straight tube route to the pump.
  • All threads, including the fill-port which was previously a PG7 standard, are now 1/4" BSPP (G1/4) compatible.
  • New 1/4" BSPP (G1/4) plugs made of high polish chrome plated brass, are used for both the fill-port and the alternate outlet port.
  • A vent was added to the anti-turbulence baffle to eliminate the formation of a small air bubble that occuered in the previous model.
  • Separated from the pump Can fit in smaller spaces than integrated pump/reservoir setups.
Anchoring ears, and hook and loop pads Easy to install against case panels, either with the supplied hook and loop pads, or permanently with screws.
  • Specially designed for high-flow pumps No annoying sloshing sounds and completely free of any air entrainment even at the lowest possible operating levels.
  • Patent pending baffle design Approximately 24 month of continuous operations without refills (*) in 3/8" systems, and 18 months in 1/2" systems.
  • Cosmetic appeal Transparent acrylic panel construction.
Built-in reliability Stress related cracks found in other acrylic constructions is eliminated by design: straight NPSM threads do not induce stress compared to NPT (tapered) threads.
  • Fill-port cap and NPSM barb fittings use O-ring Highest reliability thanks to O-ring seal.
