Thermalright Venomous X CPU Cooler - The Venomous-X Heatsink is a top of the line heatsink that delivers the best cooling performance for today's hottest processors. The Venomous-X integrates all of the best features of the Ultra-120 Extreme heatsinks and improves on them offering superior air cooling performance. The Venomous-X may be used with one or two cooling fans. Two sets of fan clips are included along with thermal paste. See our fan options below.

• Mounting Kits - Please note the following additional mounting brackets are optional. This heatsink includes mounting kits for the supported processor types listed under Specifications.
  • AM2/AM3 BTK - AMD Socket AM2/AM3 Bolt Thru Kit Rev 2. - This optional bracket is needed to mount the Venomous X on AMD processors.
• Lapping - Get the best performance from your heatsink with our Lapping option. We will lap the base giving it a nice flat and smooth finish. This option will Void the warranty of the heatsink making this product non-returnable once you have purchased this option. Lapped base is shown in picture to right. We start with a 220 grid and finish with a 1000 grit. Our goal is a flat smooth surface (not mirror finish).
• Heavy Duty Pro Lapping Kit - The Heavy Duty Pro Lapping Kit is a Do-It-Yourself heatsink lapping kit. It contains 5 sheets of sandpaper including 120, 220, 400, 800 & 1000 grit. By sanding the bottom of the heatsink you are removing the grooves and imperfections in the heatsink, thus creating a flatter smoother surface.
